Human infectious disorders are among the most serious effects of water pollution

Waterborne disorders occur when parasites or other disease-causing microorganisms are transmitted via contaminated water, particularly water contaminated by pathogens originating from excreta. These include intestinal parasites, typhoid, & most of the enteric & diarrhea diseases caused by parasites, bacteria, & viruses. Among the most serious parasitic diseases are giardiasis, ascariasis, amoebiasis, & hookworm

In oceans, rivers & seas, water pollution effects flora & fauna in them. Further, the birds & animals which consume this contaminated food supply can perish. Blood diseases, nervous system disorders & heart diseases are some of the effects of water pollution. Many toxins in polluted water lead to cancer. Rarely, the body's chromosomal makeup can be altered. Some of the less potent effects are skin lesions, diarrhea & vomiting.

The effects of water pollution are not always instant, direct or immediate. The effects of water pollution are not always seen at the point of contamination. The effects of water pollution are sometimes never known by the person responsible for the pollution. However, water pollution has a huge impact on our lives. With knowledge, consideration & preparation, The effects of water pollution can be decreased.
