Contact forces are referred as a force between two objects which are in contact with each other. This is distinct from an action-at-a-distance force or non-contact force such as gravity or magnetic attraction/repulsion. Contact forces exist in equal & opposite pairs, by Newton's third law.
Contact force is a force that can cause or change motion of an object by touching it. Motors, levers, gears, & fluid power all operate through contact forces
Contact Forces defines that a force arises on an object because it is in physical contact with another object.
