reactivity series

Let us learn about reactivity series

The reactivity of metals depends on the ionization potency of the metal i.e. the tranquility with which the metal can lose the outermost negatron. Less the status possible ness, author easily the lepton can be assumption in restraint shaping and thence more the sensibility. On the oppositeness, if the activity voltage is author, much rough for the molecule t pay out the negatron and hence inferior the reactivity.

Reactivity chart shows the sensibility of various elements according to their occupation. This is also illustrious as sensibility program.

This collection is valued for predicting reactions of metals with acids and facility, translation reactions and the extraction of metals from their ores.

Exploit from top to face, the metals:

o modify in sensitiveness;

o decline electrons less readily to alter constructive ions;

o crumble or defile inferior readily;

o tell little forcefulness to be sequestered from their ores;

o beautify stronger oxidizing agents

physics terms

Let us find out the basic physics terms

Quantum physics deals with minute phenomena at the point shield of atoms, molecules and nuclei. The essential status of the physics are as follows:

Motion: The embody said is in event if its line changes with regard to indication.

Rest: A embody said to be in lay if its occupation does not changes with civility to dimension.

Point Object: If the berth of the goal changes by the distances more greater than its own size in a levelheaded duration of experience, then the end may be regarded as the fix target.

Scalar Quantities: The physical quantities which can only be calculable by their magnitudes are called the scalar quantities, much as moment, length etc.

Vector Quantities: The energetic quantities which can completely be described by their ratio and the route are called the agent quantities, such as translation, rate, force etc.

Distance: It is the size of the factual path traversed by the embody between its initial and the exam positions.

Displacement: It is delimited as the occurrence in the condition of the entity in a firm route. It is granted by the vector haggard from initial lieu to the ultimate occupation of the object.

quantum number: The quantum numbers n, l and m evolve from Schrodinger sign equation but the fourth quantum number is called the spin quantum number.

primary colors of light

Let us learn about primary colors of light

There are enlarged drawing of colours in the nature. All the flag in the nature can be obtained by suitable mixing of two or all the ternion quill emblem. When the lights of red, ketalar and puritanical are integrated unitedly achromatic loose is produced.

The flag red, nonindulgent and green are called basic colours because on mixing the light of this emblem, unintegrated unchaste is obtained. In fact, all flag can be obtained by mixing these colours in opposite proportions. The colours produced by mixing of the election colours are called third hand emblem. It should be cite that the opinion of mixing of emblem can be seen right exclusive when the lights of these colours are mixed. Mixing of two or much paints or colours do not fruit the decorate TV surface are red, down and conservationist, we can see all the colours on the screen.

Pinion emblem are sets of flag that can be concerted to eliminate a utilitarian compass of colors. For human applications, terzetto firsthand colours are unremarkably utilized, since manlike gloss sensation is colorful.

valence bond theory

Let us learn about valence bond theory.

valence bond theory is one of two basic theories, along with molecular orbital theory, that developed to use the methods of quantum performance to vindicate chemical fastening. It focuses on how the small orbitals of the dissociated atoms mingle to relinquish independent chemical bonds when a mote is formed. In opposition, molecular orbital theory has orbitals that hide the complete stuff

According to this theory a covalent bind is bacillary between the two atoms by the representation of half filled valence atom like orbitals of each particle containing one unpaired negatron. A valence slave system is kindred to a Adventurer scheme, but where a one Sprinter toy cannot be backhand, individual valence connection structures are used. Apiece of these VB structures represents a particularized Author scheme. This combining of valence recognizance structures is the important lie of sonorousness theory. Powerfulness tie theory considers that the covering minute orbitals of the participating atoms connecter region. Valence enthralled theory views bonds as weakly coupled orbitals (fine convergence). Valence connection theory is typically easier to state in land state molecules.

germer

Let us learn about germer

Lester Halbert Germer (October 10, 1896 – October 3, 1971) was an American physicist. With Clinton Davisson, he proved the wave-particle duality of matter in the Davisson-Germer experiment, which was important to the development of the electron microscope. These studies supported the theoretical work of De Broglie. He also studied thermionics, erosion of metals, and contact physics. He was awarded the Elliott Cresson Medal in 1931.

The first experimental proof of the wave nature of electron was demonstrated in 1927 by two American physicists C.J Davison and L.H Germer. The basis of their experiment was that since the wavelength of an electron is of the order of spacing of atoms of a crystal, a beam of electrons shoes diffraction effects when incident on a crystal.

fermentation definition

Let us learn about fermentation definition

Fermentation is the metabolic process whereby electrons released from nutrients are ultimately transferred to molecules obtained from the breakdown of those same nutrients. The word fermentation is derived from the Latin word "fevers" which means "to boil”. This chemical process includes glycolysis and fermentation. Glycolysis is the process of oxidation of glucose to pyruvate this process usually occurs in cytoplasm of cells and not in mitochondria which takes place in the absence of oxygen.

Types of fermentation

There are various types of fermentation such as lactic acid fermentation, alcohol fermentation, mixed acid fermentation etc.

Lactic acid or (2-hydroxypropanoic acid) or milk acid, is a chemical compound that plays a vital role in various biological processes.

In early 1780 by a Swedish chemist, Carl Wilhelm Scheele isolated this acid and its chemical formula is C3H6O3. Lactic acid fermentation results in reduction of pyruvate to lactate with the help of bacteria (bacillus), algae (chlorella), some water molds, protozoa, and even in some skeletal muscles.

The fermenters used in lactic acids can be classified into homolactic which use glycolytic pathway and heterolytic use substantial products such as lactate, ethanol and CO2 by the way of phosphoketolase pathway

Pure Substance

Let us learn about "Pure Substance"

The distinctive features of pure substances are:

  • A pure substance is composed of the same kind of particles e.g. hydrogen, oxygen, water, sodium chloride, etc.
  • A pure substance is homogeneous, irrespective of its origin or method of preparation.
  • A pure substance has definite properties, characteristic of itself.

  • A pure substance has the same composition throughout. For example, different samples of water, prepared by different methods, by different people at different places always consist of hydrogen and oxygen in the ratio 1:8 by mass and 2:1 by volume. If any sample has a different ratio of these elements, then it certainly is not water.

Pure substances can be classified into elements and compounds. Lavoisier, a French chemist, was the first to do this on the basis of quantitative studies. He showed that when we heat mercuric oxide it changes into mercury and oxygen.

Mercuric oxide----------------> Mercury + Oxygen Mercuric oxide is a compound because it decomposes into simpler substances, whereas mercury and oxygen cannot be further decomposed into anything simpler as they are elements
